When Executive Producers Rick Camino and Michaelangelo L’Acqua at Capitol Records decided to re-invent, re-imagine and re-introduce the classic, iconic and legendary music of Nat King Cole to today’s contemporary music lover, they knew how important it was to align the visual branding with the music. For the music, they worked with cutting-edge producers such as Will.i.am, Cut Chemist, Brazilian Girls, Cee-Lo Green and NAS, among others. For the branding and visual design, they worked with us and our artists – namely Man One, Ritzy Periwinkle, Gustavo Vaca and Overton Lloyd. Together we designed and produced the “Re-Generations” logo and CD packaging design as well as a promotional art mural featuring Nat King Cole on a wall outside on the Capitol Records lot in Hollywood. The mural helped to build excitement for the project among the employees and was reprinted on the tri-fold panel inside the CD packaging.
